Dear FNGLA Members,
This year the Royal Palm Chapter has created a new fundraiser. With the threat of hurricanes and other disasters that may affect our members, and the local charities and scholarships the chapter provides for, the increase for charity money is important. Our chapter puts on a successful golf tournament held each year in May. In 2002 the chapter started the Redfish Round-Up fishing tournament held in September and it has helped increase funds needed for our charities. It takes a lot of time and energy to put a charity tournament together and we really appreciate all the people that attend and the great volunteers that make them happen.
This year our new fundraiser is a John Deere Gator utility vehicle. It is valued at $9,500.00 and the price of a ticket is only $20.00. The gator will be at most of our local chapter meetings and on display at Everglades Farm Equipment in Ft Myers, where it will be raffled off at our May 2008 meeting. Our goal is to sell 1000 tickets but we need members help to meet that goal. The tickets are being sold at all the chapter meetings, by all the board members and at Everglades Farm Equipment. Tickets are not limited to FNGLA members but it would be great if the majority of tickets were sold to our members. If our members could buy at least 5 tickets for themselves or their businesses it would be a big help. Any ticket sold would be appreciated.
