Florida Flower Trials, May 18 & 19

at Walt Disney World's Nursery | Harry P. Leu Gardens | UF-IFAS Orange County Extension

Florida Flower Trials is a two-day annual event where top plant breeders, education experts who advance your knowledge and key industry members come together to explore some of the latest ornamental plant releases ideal for Florida's tough climate.

A launching ground for some of the newest plant varieties, you’ll experience three trial sites and get an early look directly from producers on the recommended growing, landscape use and retail strategies to create the best business success possible. There is lots of learning, collaboration, networking and you get to experience the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival to see some of the industry's finest products, Disney style.

Participating Breeders

Participant plant beds are planted 6 weeks prior to the conference to allow for ample maturity of the plants. Breeders showcase exciting new colors, textures, pest-resistence and durability. Each variety will be evaluated by Disney's horticulture team and by other industry professionals relative to each site's location. Results are available to industry. Come see first-hand which plants outperform others and what will "wow" consumers in the upcoming year!

Brad's Bedding Plants and Speedling were chosen as the official growers for the 2016 trials because of their quality growing techniques.

AmeriScapes Landscape Management was chosen as the official landscape contractor for the trials.
