9 – 10 a.m. - Session: Be Bold, Bright and Brazen - Carol Reese, West Tennessee Research & Education Center, Jackson, TN 

10 – 10:15 a.m. - Break 

10:15 a.m. – 12 p.m. - Breeder Showcase

12 – 1 p.m. - Lunch with Florida Flower Trials Sponsors 

1 – 2 p.m. - Time in the Trial Gardens with Breeders - This location offers a special micro-climate which consistently remains five degrees cooler than surrounding areas! It is full-sun, and highlights new plant varieties both in the garden and in containers. This location includes a total of 132 square feet of plant beds and features six plant varieties.  

  Breakout 1: Garden Center Focus

 2 – 3 p.m. - Session: Five Trendy Marketing Tips from Proven WinnersMeghan Owens, Proven Winners, Portland, ME.

 3 – 4 p.m. - Session: Promote Seasonal Color in Creative Ways Through Fun Signage and Social MediaAmanda Thomsen, Kiss My Aster, Chicago, IL.

Breakout 2: Landscape Focus

 2 – 3 p.m. - Session: Designing Landscapes With Seasonal Color - Isaiah Ireland, Club Care of Florida, Fort Myers, FL

 3 – 4 p.m. - Session: Bedding Plant TLC - Problems and Solutions for Landscape ColorLee Bloomcamp, Syngenta, Gainesville, FL

4 - 5 p.m.Session: Creating the Magical Color in the Walt Disney World Gardens - Debbie Mola Mickler, Michele Giger Rohrmann, and Melissa Shepherd of Walt Disney World, Lake Buena Vista, FL

5:30 - 6:30 p.m.Unwind at the hotel after a day filled with ideas and inspirations

Attendees can gather for cocktails and conversations. Held a the Embassy Suites by Hilton/Orlando Airport, happy hour is a great way to relax, meet up for dinner with fellow attendees, or continue a discussion from earlier in the day. Those not planning to stay at this host hotel can still take advantage of the complimentary self-parking offered to all FFT attendees.

7 a.m. - Bus leaves from hotel promptly

7:45 - 9:45 a.m. - Central Florida Color Tour - This two-hour portion of the tour will take attendees to see how color is being used in landscape designs for new installations, and how seasonal color can complement well-established landscapes. 

10:15 - 11:30 a.m. - Tour of Walt Disney World Nursery's Trial Gardens - Attendees will have the opportunity to see all the hard work which goes on behind the scenes at the Walt Disney World's nursery to make the magic come alive. 

11:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. - Travel time to Leu Gardens

12:15 - 2 p.m. - Lunch with the Director of Harry P. Leu GardensRobert Bowden, Harry P. Leu Gardens, Orlando, FL

2 - 3:30 p.m. - Tour the Gardens at Harry P. Leu Gardens 

This garden is a 50-acre botanical oasis located just minutes from downtown Orlando. Home to one of the Florida Flower Trials sites, the garden features both sun and shade options.

3:30 - 4:30 p.m. - Travel time back to the hotel
