About the Presenter

Angelica Cretu serves as the Research and Development Director for Annuals and Perennials at Costa Farms. Annuals are grown in Miami and perennials in Trenton, South Carolina. She splits her time between both places.

She holds a degree of agriculture from Romania and came to the United States as an intern at Hermann Englemann Greenhouses, and then became an assistant grower of indoor foliage. In 2009, Angelica got her MS at the University of Florida, working with Dr. Paul Fisher, University of Florida. Her first job at Costa Farms was as Research & Development (R&D) manager. She was in charge of the trial garden and data collection. As the department grew, Angelica changed position to work with confidential trials and few years later became R&D director for annuals and perennials.

It's all about the plants!
