Status Report for 2008 Exhibitors

Deposits were due in the FNGLA office on January 15th – Cancellations are now beginning. Relocations should begin in March.

The Landscape Show knows that exhibitors have recently received invitations (their form appears to be an online directory listing service for the show, but it is not) from FAIR GUIDE (owned by CONSTRUCT DATA) for listings in its guide at the exhibitors' expense. Please be aware that the FAIR GUIDE and the company CONSTRUCT DATA have no connection with FNGLA or The Landscape Show. You should exercise due diligence and care with respect to any third-party offers so as to avoid possible unwarranted and/or unnecessary financial commitments. Construct Data Publishers has been investigated for misleading business practices related to Fair Guide in several European countries. FNGLA has asked them to cease mailing their forms to our exhibitors; they have decided to continue the mailings. Please contact the FNGLA office if you have any questions about whether a company is an authorized partner of FNGLA or The Landscape Show. It has been reported that Construct Data has been using legal threats and may be trying to enforce a contract in the courts. A new discussion list has been developed specifically for those in dispute with Construct Data. It is a discussion list where anyone can post a comment. To join, e-mail stopcd-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. A new Web site located at www.stopecg.org/construct_data_fairguide.htm has been developed as well. At this site you can write detailed letters of complaint.

How to become an Exhibitor

Fill out the information and return via email (shaines@fngla.org), fax (407-295-1619) or mail (1533 Park Center Dr., Orlando, FL 32835 USA) to FNGLA.

will show you a recent version of the floor plan (due to the constantly changing nature of the floor plan, it may not always be up to date).

Sold booths will have names in them, shaded or yellow booths are available depending on the format chosen. Small squares represent underground electric and small circles represent underground water access. Columns are the large circles with rays emanating depicting strobe lights. Both Entrances (D2 on the left and E1/E2 on the right) will be used. Points of interest are noted on the plan.

Pricing and general show information are downloadable below. Once you have decided on a few booth locations, please call (1-800-375-3642 or 407-295-7994), fax, or email the booth location and application, so that we can generate your paperwork and reserve your available booth selection.

If you would prefer to receive the floor plan via fax or mail, please contact Sabrina Haines (fax, email, phone) and she will send out your floor plan as soon as possible.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Children
Orange County Convention Center has a safety policy that does not permit children under the age of 16 to be on the exhibit floor during move in or move out. Security personnel will direct parents to remove children from the exhibit hall during move in and move out.

Move In/Move Out Personnel
Please make sure you have adequate people to manage your delivery, set up, tear down and loading during move in and move out. It is not reasonable to think that one person can tear down a booth, be in line to get to the loading dock and provide security at the booth during the break of the show.

Hall Security
The Orange County Convention Center is a government facility and you may be asked for identification anywhere on the grounds. Please be sure that you bring a valid US-issued identification card, passport or drivers license to FNATS: The Landscape Show to expedite security checks. You will be required to wear a show badge at all times within the convention center.

Food Service
The concessionaire at the Orange County Convention Center has the exclusive contract for all food sold in the halls. To serve food or drinks from your booth, simply contact Centerplate at 407-685-5712 or go to www.centerplate.com and download menus.

Smoking
No smoking will be allowed within the exhibit hall. The designated smoking area is by the loading docks near the back of the hall.

LOCAL TRAVEL

Parking
Parking at the Orange County Convention Center is available in a number of locations near the facility. A downloadable map showing the location of all area parking lots is available online at www.occc.net/global/directions.asp. FNATS: The Landscape Show is in the West Building of the Orange County Convention Center. Parking is $10 for passenger vehicles and $15 for oversized vehicles.

I-Ride Trolley
The I-Ride Trolley Service moves passengers along the International Drive/Convention Center corridor for $1 per person or $.25 for senior citizens (over 65). Unlimited ride day passes are available from their website. For information call 407/248-9590 or access their website at www.iridetrolley.com.
