The Landscape Show/SHARE Golf Tournament
This year, the tournament will take place at The Villas of Grand Cypress Golf Club on the New Course, an 18-hole course providing a Scottish links masterpiece.  The Villas of Grand Cypress is a Jack Nicklaus Signature course with limited public play.  Proceeds from this event benefit the FNGLA Endowed Research Fund.

FNGLA Landscape Awards Gala
Celebrate excellence as FNGLA recognizes the 2009 Award of Excellence recipients for outstanding landscapes.  The awards banquet takes place on Friday, October 2.  The grand finale of the evening is the announcement of the Roy Rood Award winner, given to the most outstanding entry in this year’s competition.

FNGLA Career Fair
More than 300 high school students take part in this hour-long program to learn about college and career opportunities related to the nursery and landscape industry. Industry members share the broad range of job opportunities available as young people consider the future career options available in this growing industry.

FNGLA Certification Celebration
For FNGLA Certified Professionals Only!  Come meet with your fellow certified colleagues to catch up one the latest certification information and developments, as well as celebrate professional successes.  A reception finishes off this interactive event.

The Landscape Show Opening Day Reception
Open to everyone with a trade show badge!  This is the place to meet your industry friends, customers and colleagues to exchange news, views and business cards.  Relax with a drink and appetizers as your wrap up business for the day before heading out on the town. The party takes place aon Thursday, October 1.

The Landscape Show Demonstration Area
Take advantage of informal, free demonstrations! These 15-20 minute presentations will take place near the center of the show around the corner from the FNGLA booth. Don’t miss the chance to learn something new. Demonstration schedule is subject to change.
           
The Green Zone
The Green Zone is a convenient gathering of organizations who can offer practical information related to energy and water conservation, recycling and potential certification points and credits available through landscaping and associated water conservation.  Some of the groups participating include Florida Water Star, Florida Green Building Coalition, Florida Yards & Neighborhoods, Irrigation Association, Florida Dept. of Environmental Protection and Florida Automated Weather Network.

In addition, the Green Zone will feature the Sustainable Solutions Showcase, highlighting exhibitor products and services which are sustainable and environmentally friendly. 
  
You’ll find specific models of landscapes demonstrating how to receive the most certification points and credits via programs such as LEEDS and Water Star.  A “Green Concierge” will be available in the Green Zone to answer questions and help direct you to appropriate resources related to your Green questions and requests.
  
In the Green Zone you can tour an environmentally-friendly business office, sponsored by Capital Office Products, showcasing various products and processes to make your office more green.
