FNGLA Awarded FFA's 'Distinguished Service Citation'

Based in no small part on the efforts FNGLA ‘Education Czar’ Stefan Liopiros, FNGLA has earned distinction as one of Florida FFA’s 2019 Distinguished Service Citation Recipients.
Liopiros, who is one of FNGLA's Frontrunners Chapter leaders, has virtually traversed the state of Florida in recent years visiting high schools and attending Future Builders of America (FBA) and FFA competitions promoting the virtues of a career in the horticulture industry.
Liopiros will accept the award with Maria Muhlhahn of West Bay Landscape on behalf of FNGLA at FFA’s upcoming Convention, June 12-13 in Central Florida.
“Both Stefan and Maria do an excellent job of using their personality and experience to convey to students and teachers just how fun --- and profitable – a career in Florida’s nursery and landscape industry can be,” says Merry Mott, FNGLA's director of certifications and industry development.
Also among this year's recipients are the Matred Carlton Olliff Foundation, Grove Equipment Services, and the Future Builders of America.
