Workshops at The Landscape Show for Certified Professionals

Whether it’s irrigation, landscape design, pruning, or just getting a foot up in the business side of the industry – there’s a workshop for that. The 2017 Landscape Show will include a grab bag of workshops during its three-day run. FNGLA’s Merry Mott offers her top five choices for workshops of particular interest to FNGLA’s certified professionals:

Basic Irrigation -The Technicians’ Guide to Irrigation Hydraulics

This workshop is filled with loads of practice sessions to using math and theory on paper to get it right in the field. Learn to troubleshoot problems on existing system or in the design of a new system. Attendees should have a basic understanding of the components of an irrigation system.

Keeping Up on Florida’s Grades and Standards

Take a hands-on approach to understanding the proper grading of several varieties of trees, palms and cycads. Come see if your landscape trees are up to standards and what vital information is needed to properly incorporate into your landscape designs.

Container Workshop: Catchy Containers

Want to use more containers in your landscape designs? Come get your hands dirty and create some magic of your own.

Account Manager Master Track (Two-Part Workshop) 

This two-part workshop (choose one or both) will spend the morning looking at the keys to customer service excellence along with strategies and tactics for service recovery. Part 2 to be held in the afternoon which will focus on how to maximize time and efficiency of a routine site visit.

FCLD Review Course

This course will introduce attendees to the principles tested in FNGLA’s Certified Landscape Designer (FCLD) exam, with a look at the required plan submittal process.
