Welcome to the FNGLA certification online exam! What can you expect?
*Individually-time exam sections
*Option to complete the exam sections in the order you prefer
*Time period of 60 days in which to complete the entire exam
*Immediate pass or fail results
To register for the exam, click on the link to the left that says ONLINE APPLICATION. It will take you to the official exam application where you will create your own user-name and password and choose the exam you wish to take. You can even sign up for individual retests there. Once you successfully register, FNGLA will review your application and send you an approval e-mail. This “Candidate ID Number” will allow you to access the individual exam sections online.
When you receive this approval, you can return to this page and log in to the exam on the left in the grey box called Exam Login. Enter your user name and your password, and your online testing experience begins!

Accessing Your Online Exam
Before taking the exam, be sure you have your User Name, Password and Candidate ID (refer to confirmation e-mail). Be sure your pop-up blockers are all turned off. High speed internet connection is recommended. Once you log in, select the exam section you which to take.
Work slowing and consistently through the exam questions. Your time will appear on each screen to assist you in managing your time. Remember, an incomplete attempt will be counted as an exam attempt and will reflect in your final grade. Answer all questions as they appear. You cannot go back to skipped questions. Do not hit the ‘back button’ on your internet browser, or you will lose your work. |

Exam Retests
Your initial exam fees pays for one attempt at the FNGLA online certification exam only. Should you need to retest on any section of the exam, you pay only for those exams you need to retake. Remember, each exam section may be taken a maximum of 3 times in one year. |

Exam Policies
The FNGLA online certification exams are closed-book exams (except the FCHP Open Book exam). When you apply for the exam, you are asked to verify that you have read, and agree with, our Code of Ethics/Standard of Practice statements. This means you agree that the work you complete on the FNGLA online exam is your own, without the use of references or input from others. |

Awarding of Certification
Once you complete all required sections of the FNGLA online certification exam, FNGLA will automatically generate your certification package and mail it to you at your home address. |
