What you may expect from the FNGLA online certification exams:

 FCHP ONLINE CERTIFICATION TESTING

The FCHP exam is a 3-hour online test measuring proficiency in horticultural practices.This exam serves as the core of all of FNGLA’s certification programs. The four sections of the exam are Plant Identification, Horticultural Practices, Safety and Open Book.

Each section must be passed with a minimum 70% in order to earn the FCHP certification.

Your online exam will be automatically scored and the results will be sent to you and FNGLA Certification Administration. You will receive your actual numerical grade from FNGLA within 30 days.

The Online FCHP Certification Exam is available from your work, your home or an approved testing center, provided you have high speed internet connection., such as cable, satellite or DSL. Dial-up internet connect is not recommended.

Instructions for Online FCHP Exam

Before taking the exam you will be asked for your Candidate ID. (Refer to your confirmation email).

After logging in, you may select one of the sections listed under "Online Exam". The sections can be taken in any order you prefer.

Work slowly and consistently through the exam questions. Your available time will appear on each screen to assist you in managing your time. Once you begin an exam section you must complete it and submit it. An incomplete attempt will still be counted an exam attempt and will reflect in your final grade.

Please answer all questions as they appear. You cannot return to previous questions . The total number of questions is 50 per section. Please do not second-guess yourself! Many times your original answer is the correct one. Good luck!

The online exam must be completed within 60 days of your application approval.

 FCLD ONLINE CERTIFICATION TESTING

The FCLD exam is a 2.5-hour online test measuring proficiency in landscape design practices. The five sections of the exam are Construction Documents, Landscape Laws, Design Principles, History of Garden Design, and Site Design. And you must also successfully complete the FCHP online certification exam, the core horticultural requirement for FCLD.

Your online exam will be automatically scored and the results will be sent to you and FNGLA Certification administration. You will receive your actual numerical grade from FNGLA within 30 days.

And you must also successfully complete the FCHP certification exam, the core horticultural requirement for FCLC.

Each section must be passed with a minimum 75% in order to earn the FCLC certification.

Your online exam will be automatically scored and the results will be sent to you and FNGLA Certification administration.
