About FNGLA

Wendell E. Butler Award

Renamed the Wendell Butler Award in 1975, this award is recognized as FNGLA's most prestigious award. This award recognizes an individual who serves FNGLA and the industry by providing leadership, service, contributions and has shown a sincere interest in the advancement of the association and the industry. The person's involvement in FNGLA has made a positive impact on the success of the association, its members and the industry and serves as an example to others. The award winner then sits on the next year's Industry Awards Selection Committee.

Award Criteria: An individual who is currently a member of FNGLA and has proved faithful and exceptional service to the horticulture industry and FNGLA, not withstanding personal gain. Previous Butler Award winners are not eligible, nor is the incumbent FNGLA President.

FNGLA Industry Awards nominations are closed for 2012. Thanks to those who provided submissions. The FNGLA Industry Awards Selection Committee will meet in early April and the 2012 award recipients will be announced soon after.
