The James H. Davis Memorial Scholarship

DEADLINE FOR ALL APPLICATIONS IS JANUARY 15th ANNUALLY.

In 1996, a gift of $400,000 was given from the estate of James H. Davis, a respected tree farm owner and former member of the then Florida Nurserymen and Growers Association (FNGA). This generous gift launched an effort to provide career paths for qualified students who were in financial need. Since then other contributors have seen the same need for providing scholarships and this area of the fund has continued to grow.

Applicants must be incoming college freshman, sophomores, juniors, seniors and/or graduate students planning to attend a community college, college or university in the state of Florida.

Scholarships are based on financial need, student's ability to maintain a 2.0 grade point average, full-time enrollment in a horticulture program or related field with the intent to graduate in that field.
