Landscape Awards Banquet

2010 marks 41 years of FNGLA celebrating excellence in landscaping! Come join us in recognizing the recipients and the projects of this prestigious program at the Annual Landscape Awards Gala taking place on Friday evening, September 24. The grand finale of the evening is the announcement of the Roy S. Rood Award winner, given to the most outstanding entry in this year's competition. FNGLA Horticulture Career Fair
Friday, September 24 - 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
FNGLA reaches out to tomorrow's leaders by hosting a Horticulture Career Fair in conjunction with The Landscape Show. This interactive program brings together students, educators and employers in a high-energy environment. Following this educational - and competitive - event, students are invited to tour The Landscape Show floor to learn more about the vast scope of Florida's nursery and landscape industry. Candidates Forum
Friday, September 24 - 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Florida gubernatorial candidates, as well as cabinet member candidates, will be invited to share their views on top agriculture issues during this luncheon forum. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions directly of the candidates. Hosted by the Agriculture Institute of Florida (AIF) and Farm Credit. FNGLA Judge Certification Training
Friday, September 24 - 1:30 - 5:00 p.m.
FNGLA Certified Professionals are invited to become Certified Landscape Judges by taking part in this exclusive training and certification program. Judging FNGLA's landscape exams takes a number of dedicated and knowledgeable volunteers. This program features an overview of FNGLA exam policies and provides procedures guidance when judging an FNGLA landscape field exam. Attendees receive an official Certified Judge vest and are recognized during the Landscape Awards banquet on Friday evening. Pre-registration is required through FNGLA.

Florida Water StarSM Landscape & Irrigation Training
The Landscape Show is proud to host back-to-back learning opportunities for landscape and irrigation professionals to get a leg up on upcoming certification requirements and prepare for professional exams. The Florida Water StarSM certification program is focused on both new construction projects and landscape renovations for residential and commercial properties in order to comply with the state-mandated reduction of water use throughout Florida.

The Water Management Districts and many utilities recognize and reward this accreditation launching this year around the state. The instructors for this interactive training have been integral to the development of the accreditation program and are among the industry's leading trainers. Be one of the first to become a Florida Water StarSM accredited.

Florida Water StarSM - Technical Training for Landscape Design Professionals
8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
This seminar is tailored for the landscape design professional preparing to become a Florida Water StarSM Landscape Design Accredited Professional or involved in the landscape of any Florida Water StarSM certified property. The information is ideal for designers and contractors for both landscape and irrigation.
CEUs: 4 hours approved by Florida Board of Professional Regulation for Landscape Architects, Course #0008537 and FNGLA Certified Professionals.

Florida Water StarSM- Technical Training for Irrigation Professionals
1:00 - 5:00 p.m.
This seminar focuses on the design and installation methods and strategies used in earning the required irrigation points needed to achieve any of the three Florida Water StarSM certifications for a property. The information is ideal for designers and contractors for both landscape and irrigation.
CEUs: 4 hours approved by the Irrigation Association, various state irrigation licensing boards and FNGLA Certified Professionals.
