TPIE Tropical Plant Revue – Think Outside the Pot
Combining the world’s most exciting and diverse tropical plants with the talents of world-class floral designers, TPIE and the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD) have joined hands to present a Tropical Plant Revue at the 2010 TPIE.

Taking place as a complimentary opening session of TPIE on Thursday, January 14, this premier presentation will provide inspiration, innovations and practical ideas for ne ways to merchandise and market
tropical plants.

Following in the tradition of AIFD Symposium presentations, the TPIE/AIFD Tropical Plant Revue will be 45 minutes of high energy, offering over-the-top designs that inspire as well as work in the everyday business world.

The TPIE/AIFD Tropical Plant Revue will feature the creative skills of Deborah De La Flor AIFD and J Paul Jaras AIFD, both award-winning designers who are two of AIFD’s most popular and respected presenters.

TPIE Happy Hour: Thursday, January 14, 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.
This new and exciting event is happening on the show floor from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. on opening night, January 14. This ticketless event is open to everyone with a show badge. TPIE adds an hour of connecting and some fun to the first day of the show with the TPIE Happy Hour! Sponsored by Sun Parasol, Suntory Collection, the TPIE Happy Hour ends the first day of the show on a relaxing note, with drinks and food and more time to network with attendees and exhibitors.

Take advantage of this hour to network with attendees and exhibitors while enjoying light entertainment, drinks and hors d’oeuvres.

FNGLA Horticulture Career Fair
Introducing Tomorrow’s Leaders to Florida’s Nursery & Landscape Industry TPIE is a perfect venue to introduce high school horticulture students to the wide range of plants, products, services – and career opportunities – in Florida’s nursery and landscape industry. Individual students, parents, teachers, classes, homeschool groups, 4-H and FFA chapters interested in horticulture are invited to attend FNGLA’s Horticulture Career Fair at TPIE on Friday, January 15th. This is a new event for 2010 including interaction with potential employers and educators. A friendly competition among the horticulture classes and FFA chapters in attendance will provide for an outstanding learning experience.

TPIE New Plant/Product Room
This popular spot lets you see close up the newest plant varieties and products to be introduced to the industry. Visit on Thursday to vote for your favorite new items.

TPIE Demonstrations
Take advantage of complimentary demonstrations during TPIE.  These 15-20 minute, informal presentations are presented daily outside the 2nd floor exhibit area and cover a wide variety of tropical topics.
