What is FCLT?

FNGLA's Certified Landscape Technician (FCLT) program is a hands-on certification designed to measure the skills of practicing landscape installation technicians.

  • Targets employees of landscape contracting; design/build; installation firms; and state, county and municipal government employees.
  • One year of prior industry work experience is recommended.
  • Although recommended, no prior training is required.
  • Valid for a three-year period. Requires 15 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to maintain this certification.

The FNGLA Landscape Installation Manual is a useful study guide for the FCLT exam. It provides information on the specifications and procedures for the exam, but is also a useful tool for the landscape industry.
